The Story
Vera Chapters started because Alejandra kept finishing books and having nowhere to put the feeling. She read the dark romance. She read the romantasy. She fell for the villain, the High Lord and the colonel who should have come with a warning label. And then she went looking for something to put on the shelf — and found nothing that looked like the books actually felt. Plenty of mugs. Plenty of tote bags. No sign of the men themselves. So she made them.
The Craft
We work out of a studio in Chur, Switzerland. Two people, one printer, and an unreasonable amount of arguing about jawlines. Every 15 cm BookToy is printed in multi-color — the color runs through the material rather than sitting on top of it, so it doesn't chip. The parts come off the printer separately and everything after that is done by hand: assembly, detailing, inspection, packing. It's slow. That's why the editions are 50 and not 5,000.
The Two Lines
BookToys are our limited drops — the characters BookTok is currently losing its mind over, released in editions of 50. Each edition is made once. The Classics are permanent: the gothic originals who wrote the rules your favourite dark romance is still following, starting with Heathcliff, sculpted from the novels themselves rather than from any adaptation.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many units are available per drop?
Each BookToy edition is limited to 50 units, each one numbered by hand. Every edition is made once. A character may return later as a second edition with a visibly different finish, never as a reprint of the first. The Classics are our permanent line and stay available.
How big are the figures?
Every BookToy and Classic stands 15 cm tall: big enough to hold its own on a bookshelf, small enough to sit next to the paperback it came from. Each product page includes a size comparison photo.
What materials are used?
Our figures are 3D printed in multi-color on a high-precision printer, using premium PLA (polylactic acid), a plant-based plastic made from renewable resources like corn starch and sugarcane. The color runs through the material itself, so it won't chip or peel. Each figure is assembled, hand-detailed and carefully packed in our studio in Chur, Switzerland, so it arrives exactly as it left us.
Do the figures come with a certificate?
Yes. Every BookToy includes a numbered certificate of authenticity, with its edition number written by hand.
How do I care for my figure?
Keep it out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources such as radiators or a hot car, as the material can soften with heat. Dust it with a soft, dry brush. Each figure is a display piece for adult collectors, not a toy for young children.
Are these official licensed figures?
No. BookToys are original designs inspired by the archetypes dark romance and romantasy readers love, not official merchandise of any book or author. The Classics are based on novels in the public domain, sculpted from the text rather than from any adaptation.
How long does shipping take?
Orders leave our studio within 3–5 business days, with tracking. Shipping within Switzerland and Liechtenstein is free from CHF 45. Delivery times outside Switzerland vary by destination.
Will I pay customs or import fees?
Not within Switzerland or Liechtenstein. Orders shipped outside Switzerland may be charged import VAT and handling fees by the carrier on delivery. These depend on your country and are paid by the recipient.
Can I return or exchange a figure?
We accept returns within 14 days of delivery. Items must be in their original condition. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
If your order arrives damaged or defective, please contact us at hello@verachapters.com within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and photos of the damage. We will review each case individually and offer a replacement or store credit where applicable.
For pre-order items, cancellations are accepted within 24 hours of purchase. After this window, orders cannot be cancelled as production is already scheduled.
If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect address provided by the customer, reshipping fees will apply.
