Anyone buying a gift for a reader runs into the same problem. She already has the book. She has the special edition too. And the gift card is spent before you have written the card.
What is left are gifts around reading. Things that show you know what she reads, not only that she reads. Here are seven ideas, sorted by budget.
CHF 5.90
1. A page holder for her thumb
The smallest gift on this list is the one that gets used most. The Page Keeper is a rotating thumb page holder: it keeps the book open with one hand, so the other stays free for coffee, the tram or the blanket. 3D printed in Chur, in two ring sizes.
CHF 29.90
2. A classic for the shelf: Heathcliff
For readers whose love of difficult men started with Emily Brontë. Heathcliff is part of The Classics, our permanent line of figures from gothic literature. 15 cm tall. Sculpted from the book. Not from the screen.
CHF 39.90 · EDITION OF 50
3. The winged High Lord
The Lord of Stars is for everyone who hears romantasy and thinks of wings, night skies and one particular smirk. If she reads the genre, she will know him on sight.
CHF 39.90 · EDITION OF 50
4. The man in the mask
The Masked Wrath is for dark romance readers who know why a mask says more than a face. You will not need to explain the gift. She will understand it.
CHF 39.90 · EDITION OF 50
5. The crowned king
The Silver-Eyed King wears red hair and a silver crown. For readers who choose the feared god over the kind prince.
CHF 39.90 · EDITION OF 50
6. For dark academia readers
The Malicious Elite is for everyone who likes her heroes morally grey and her campuses dangerous.
CHF 39.90 · EDITION OF 50
7. For military romance readers
The Colonel is for readers of military dark romance who notice every detail of the gear.
What is a BookToy?
A BookToy is a 15 cm collectible figure of the men she can't stop rereading. Each figure is 3D printed in colour in our studio in Chur, assembled by hand and hand-finished. It's slow. That's why each BookToy exists only 50 times, numbered by hand.
Which figure suits her?
Look at her shelf or her reading app. Fae, courts and wings mean romantasy. Dark covers with masks, uniforms or elite schools mean dark romance. If you are unsure, write to us at hello@verachapters.com. We read the genre ourselves.
Good to know
We ship from Chur. Shipping is free in Switzerland and Liechtenstein from CHF 45. One figure and one Page Keeper together are already above that.
Allow some time for gifts: we need 3 to 5 working days before a parcel leaves the studio.
For readers who live for: morally grey, touch her and die, and a shelf that stares back.
